More trouble for Andy Reid

From all sources, coaching in the NFL is a tough task. Many coaches have subcumbed to burnout, failed marriages and worse. Time spent breaking down film and game planning until all hours must impact the family life. I think back to Tony Dungy's tragic loss of his son. Now, it seems that Andy Reid has a second child going to jail. I dont know what kind of parent Andy Reid would be if he held a 9 to 5 type corporate position but it seems that more time at home might help his children.

Garrett Reid, Son of Andy, Going Back to Jail

Garrett Reid, the son of Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid, is heading back to jail after he failed to show up for a court-ordered drug test, Channel 6 news in Philadelphia is reporting.

It's the latest legal problem for the Reid family, and Garrett will join his younger brother Britt Reid in the Montgomery County lock-up.

According to Channel 6, Garrett was a no-show for a scheduled drug test that was required by a judge, so he was arrested. The mandatory drug tests are a result of his guilty plea over the summer to drug charges following a car crash early this year.

Britt went to jail on a drunk driving charge, and he's also been convicted in a road rage case in which he pointed a gun at another motorist.

Rumors have swirled that Andy Reid will quit as Eagles coach after the season to attend to his family (he has three younger children, besides the two who are incarcerated), but Reid has denied it.
