StratBridge Inc. has just developed ground breaking software that should undoubtedly help professional teams in every sport to make better managerial decisions. StratBridge Inc. is a company that has developed software for both ticket sales (StratTix), and player analysis (StratEdge). The company was founded in 1999 by Mr. Matthew Marolda and made a name for themselves in 2005 with their ticket selling software. StratTix can be used in a number of ways to help teams gain valuable information about their ticket sales, as well as the people buying them. This software can help the team view up-to-the-minute seating charts to see which seats are selling, and which ones are not. It will provide the teams with information about the people purchasing the tickets such as their geographical area, what source they used to purchase them (Ticket Master, Stubhub etc.), and helping to predict attendance. This will help lead to teams to finding the best time to market, when the best time is to promote, and will help their yield management strategies to become more effective. The company's newest software breakthrough, StratEdge, will ultimately give an "edge" to teams that are scouting and looking to draft, or sign specific players. It provides teams with detailed information about trades, contract extensions, and how they match up to other athletes at their position. This company is in a niche of its own, and one of the best at what they do. These new tools that are now readily available for any team will help them make smarter business decisions that everyone knows will ultimately affect their franchise for years to come. StratBridge Inc. already has more then 100 deals with professional teams in the NHL, MLB, NFL, MLS, AFL, and minor league baseball. They hope to continue to build bridges with and for various sport franchises around the world.
Turkney Sports &
Entertainment is proud to be the creator of the Prospector G2, a new
revolutionary way to control and alter ticket sales. The Prospector G2 compares
information such as individual ticket purchases, season ticket purchases,
survey answers, and merchandise buys with demographic and housing income, to
create ticket-sales that are rated based on what the company thinks will have
the most successful results. The whole point of this system is to make sure
there is as many fans in the stands as possible. Sometimes people who have season
tickets don't attend every game therefore taking away tickets from others. This
system will help give tickets to people who deserve them. Turkney is already
teamed up with Ticketmaster and Tickets.com. The
partnerships with these companies will help the speed at which consumers survey
responses will be calculated. The Texas Rangers and Miami Heat have announced
that they are extremely satisfied with this program and have lead the way for 16
other major league teams who are interested in this program. Turkney Sports & Entertainment is one of
the industry's most recognized and trusted names and is always trying to
improve their CRM. This new ticket program should send ticket sales through the
roof.
Panoramic stadium views are becoming a big thing in sports today. Some people do not have time to go down to the stadium and pick out season seats so this software can help that situation. Going online to look at the available seats at the stadium is a great i
dea. They can see the view from their new seats but one problem is there can not see if their view will be obstructed by poles or players. I think that this is a very good tool for busy people or people who may not be close to the stadium to go and take a look themselves. It can be a quick process if you have a computer handy and know where you think you would like to sit. If I was getting season tickets I would defiantly want my team to have this software so I didn't have to make a trip to the stadium. You can also buy parking with this software which is also a convenience.

The San Francisco Giants have troubles selling tickets to their ball games. Shocking I know! So the Giants have reached out to a software company, QCue to help find a good price to sell those slow moving bleacher seats. QCue is a software company that manages data and is able to come up with formulas that suggest pricing for ticket sales. This is just what the Giants needed, some help getting people come to the stadium after all there is not much attracting them there anymore. QCue takes into account the day of the week the game is, the opponent they are playing, the opponent's pitcher, and the weather conditions for that day. They take all of this information and come up with a price for a ticket to the game, they can even wait to give a price all the way up until the morning of the game.
The Giants are reportedly going to change ticket prices between twenty-five cents and a dollar at the most. They are hopeful that this will draw more people to the ball park by the bay. This is a practice that the sport industry is beginning to see more and more of. Other companies such as Stratbridge and Eloqua also do this same data management for many different franchises and have league contracts with the NBA and the NHL. The idea is great, basing ticket prices on a day to day basis but many season ticket holders are becoming disgruntled as their prices have already been locked in for the season. Hopefully this strategy will work for the Giants, as I am sure it will be common to wait until gameday to see the prices of tickets in the future.
Breeder's Cup CMO Peter Land announced last week that next year tickets for this championship event will be cheaper and not as many tickets will be bundled. These tickets were sold from $20 to $1200 and often times you had to buy tickets for both days of the event. Over 82,000 fans took part in the Breeder's Cup but Land believed that more fans may have attended if not for the financial crisis on Wall Street. Customers complained of the high prices and ticket bundling deals so Land is changing next year for the customer's needs and wants.
I believe that it is great that high power executives are making an effort to find information about their customer's wants and are doing things to change their old ways. This will mostly encourage even more fans and spectators to next year's Breeder's Cup.
The new NBA season has just recently begun and ticket sales are already being compared to those of last season. With a new season comes new revenue. Our nations economic situation is impacting the amount of people who have used the renewal policy on their season tickets. Although the dropoff is only 4% it is still costing teams money losing season ticket holders. On a positive note the league has 11 teams this year with over 10,000 season tickets sold which tops lasts years total. The Lakers and the Jazz are the two teams that skyrocket at the top of the list selling over 14,000 seats to faithful fans. The Lakers faithful seem to come in stong every year with a 99% renewal rate showing strong support for Kobe and the boys. The Miama Heat on the other hand have had a huge fall off which is credited to bad weather in the south as well as a drop off in the teams performance. Overall with the economic situation of the US the NBA isn't in such a bad spot right now. Miami was in the top of season ticket sales and after the past years of the teams terrible performance, that number is steadily going down.
Rain rain go away, that's what MLB has started to say. Monday nights World Series game 5 was rain delayed in the 6th inning of a tie between the Phillies and the Rays. The game which was schedueled to restart Tuesday night at 8 pm was then once again postponed. This has caused huge problems for major league baseball dealing with restart times and pressure from fans around the globe. Phillies fans themselves who were at the game are upset now that they will have to provide their gameday ticket to get back in for a mere 3 inning game of baseball. People are selling their tickets since they do not want to go back just for a 3 inning game. Major League Baseball is also worried that people wont tune in to see the conclusion of the game and a possible Philly World Series win. Revenue is already down a significant amount from last years World Series and the rain outs can not do anything but hurt. Tonight will hopefull resume play between these two teams but with a forecast of snow we can do nothing but wait.
